I would really like to attach economical driving lights on or near the forks. I don't want to go with bigger lights with a light bar and would rather have something smaller than 3". Has anybody found a solution that looks good? I am having a really hard time finding brackets that would work on the lower or even upper forks.
Thanks for any advice!

Hope this Helps I fitted 2 50 watt driving lights wired to factory spot light switch. there is 2 threaded bolt hole under the bottom yoke to mount too. also fitted a 35 watt HID to the headlight.

I used the wiring diagram on this site and wired them up and installed them myself and I'm a mechanical idiot. Anyone can do it ... they wire right to your aux switch.
www.motolight.com
The Thunderbird in their photo gallery is my bike :)
Here's what I like about them... they 'disappear' when they are off, nobody even notices them. I got the black ones, and with blacked out forks they blend right in. They keep my upper and lower yokes free from more crap and they are wicked bright. I often flash them at drivers at intersections and have had other riders and truckers comment on how visible my bike is.
Best of luck,
Draeger

+1 I've got the chrome motolights with LEDs, a bit pricey but seem to be good quality ... plus the lady who runs the company is very nice and pleasant and is a genuinely helpful person. I would recommend 100%.

The Triumph Auxiliary lights come with a relay and wiring harness, so the power for those lights doesn't come directly from the switch.

Do you happen to know what size bolt you used under the yoke?

if I have my ohms law right 50 watts x 2 is only drawing around 9amps i fitted a relay in the headlight to switch them through the high beam power supply they will only come on with high beam switch on . because I have A HID headlight high beam does not get any brighter, the globe tilts up a few mill to change the focus. ( still only draws around 3 amps) so the original headlight circuit can handle the driving lights .
to explain ;
35 watt HID headlight ; 35 watt divided by 12 v = appx 2.9 amps (incidently this is 6000 lumen's) 2 x 50 watt driving lights ; 100 watts divided by 12 v = 8.9 amps
total draw on circuit appx 11.3 amps its a 15 amp circuit. I have had no problems in the 2 years since I fitted them so if I have my ohms law wrong what can I say nothing is melting or frying it Just works.
just to explain why I am a bit paranoid about my lights, back in the 70"s I was hit by a car at Night almost head on, because my headlight was out, I walked away but should have been killed.
Hope you can make some sense of my rambling .

That's correct and I have the proper wiring diagram in the how to section for those using after market lights that use a relay, like motolights.
